Rendering of the plans for Hayswood Park

The Harrison County Parks Department has outlined plans for new playgrounds and facilities throughout Harrison County. Superintedent Larry Schickles presented information on a new accessible, inclusive playground at Hayswood Park along with two new shelterhouses in addition to new playgrounds at Gresham Park in Lanesville and Buffalo Trace.

Shickles got approval from the board to request $3 million from the county with hopes to utilize funds from the American Rescue Plan and the Harrison County Community Foundation. Final approval of funding for this project is up to the Harrison County Council.
